The closure of the 2014-2020 programming period was around the corner. Crises and implementation challenges overshadowed the years of intensive investment. Nevertheless, there is a number of urban mobility and transport infrastructure projects success stories across the EU. From North to South and East to West, such projects strengthen the industry, improve people’s lives, provide both short- and long-term jobs and boost regional economic growth.

While the 2021-2027 programming period is under implementation, existing success stories are the proof for the uncompromised continuation of cohesion policy beyond the current multiannual financial framework.

That event was a show-and-tell platform for concrete projects from a number of Member States. Therefore, Members of the European Parliament promoted successful examples of cohesion policy investments.
